Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use getactiqo.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification, larger text, or other assistive technology. This statement covers the getactiqo.com website. If something on it gets in your way, we want to hear about it.
What we aim for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as our working standard when we design, build and review pages. It is a target we test against, not a certification. Accessibility is ongoing work: the site changes, and we keep checking it as it does.
What we’ve done so far
Our most recent review, completed in October 2026, combined automated testing with hands-on keyboard and browser checks on phone and desktop screen sizes. Work from that review includes:
- Pages are built to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link. Headings follow a consistent outline, and links say where they go.
- Text and controls are checked against the WCAG colour-contrast minimums, and several low-contrast labels and text blocks were corrected.
- Form fields are labelled, and email errors on our free tools and data-deletion form are written out in text next to the field rather than shown by colour alone.
- Dialogs keep keyboard focus inside them while open, close with Escape, and return you to where you were.
- Wide tables scroll inside their own box on small screens instead of making the whole page scroll sideways.
- Animation is reduced or stopped when your device asks for reduced motion, and the animated example on the home page has a pause button.
Known limitations
We know about these and are working on them:
- In a few articles, the titles of small cards (for example, lists of warning signs or principles) are styled text rather than marked-up headings, so they don’t appear when you browse by headings. The text itself is all readable in order.
- The illustrations of the ACTIQO app on this website are pictures of the interface, not working controls. They are hidden from screen readers, and the text beside each one describes what it shows.
- Some links go to services we don’t control, such as the App Store and Google Play, and those sites have their own accessibility.
This statement covers the website. If you have trouble using the ACTIQO app itself, on iPhone, Android or the web, please tell us too, using the contact details below.
Report a barrier or ask for help
If you can’t use part of this website, or you need information from it in another format, email us:
It helps if you can tell us:
- the page address (URL) or the name of the page,
- what you were trying to do and what happened,
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using, if you know.
You don’t need to include all of that. A short description is enough for us to start. We’ll reply, and if something can’t be fixed straight away we’ll work with you on another way to get the information or complete the task.
Changes to this statement
We’ll update this page as we fix the issues above and find others. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
